The Board of Rectors of the EUNICoast European University Alliance has officially begun its meeting in Le Havre, France, with an opening visit to the Le Havre Port Center. EMUNI University is represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Rado Bohinc, who joins fellow rectors in discussing the strategic development of the alliance and shared initiatives designed to strengthen collaboration within the network.
The visit highlighted how the port and the city work together to advance innovation, sustainability, and education in coastal regions.
Rectors and representatives of EUNICoast partner universities also gathered for the Erasmus and Mobility Conference at Université Le Havre Normandie, emphasising the importance of student mobility, research collaboration, and joint academic projects across coastal and island universities. The event showcased how EUNICoast continues to connect people, campuses, and ideas across Europe.
The meeting is hosted by Université Le Havre Normandie, the coordinating institution of the EUNICoast Alliance, in partnership with the Le Havre Port Center, an institutional partner of the university.
This gathering provides an important platform for member universities to exchange perspectives, align priorities, and reinforce the role of higher education in supporting resilient and innovative coastal communities.
