Studying in the Republic of Slovenia is organized at public and private higher education institutions (i.e., universities, faculties, art academies, and professional colleges). Whether you study at a public or private higher education institution, the application process begins via the eVŠ portal “Apply here” button. The candidate submits the application for enrolment electronically on the eVŠ web portal during the open application period.

The Euro-Mediterranean University is publishing the Call for enrolment into master’s degree programmes and Call for enrolment into doctoral degree programme for the Academic Year 2025/2026. DETAILED information about admission requirements and admission procedures for candidates are specified in the call. Please read the call before applying.

Enrolment places are available for citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and EU member states, Slovenians without Slovenian citizenship and foreigners (citizens of non-EU member countries).

* If the number of applicants/admitted candidates will be lower than the number of offered enrolment places the second and third application periods will be open.

** Applicants who fulfil admission requirements and are admitted will receive an admission letter and invitation for enrolment.

Admission and enrolment procedure

  1. Submit application for enrolment and recognition of foreign education and supporting documents
  2. Receive a decision on recognition of foreign education
  3. Receive an admission letter if admission requirements are met
  4. Pass bridge exams if necessary
  5. Receive invitation for enrolment
  6. Submit enrolment form and supporting documents
  7. Receive confirmation of enrolment and invitation letter for visa application

All applicants pay an admission fee in the amount of 120,00 EUR to EMUNI University.

All applications are submitted electronically on the national portal https://portal.evs.gov.si/prijava/

Before starting the application process please carefully read the admission requirements for study programmes as they may vary.

Online application process step by step:

  • get and smsPASS or electronic identity, register as new user
  • select language and citizenship,
  • select the master’s programmes, second cycle and Private higher education institution
  • select Call for Enrolment of the EURO-MEDITERRANEAN UNIVERSITY
  • enter personal data, permanent residence, and address for notifications,
  • write information about previous education,
  • select desired study programme,
  • upload relevant documents,
  • and lastly, review and submit the application electronically.

Important!

  • After successful submission of the application, the applicant will receive a confirmation of successful submission to the email address provided in the enrolment application. If the applicant does not receive this confirmation, the application has not been submitted successfully.
  • When a submitted document is reviewed by the Admission Office and it is accepted this will show in your application.
  • If the document is not accepted, you will receive an email with further instructions how to comply with the requirements.

Supporting documents to be submitted with the application:

  1. Degree certificate: an e-copy or photograph of the bachelor’s degree certificate in original language – mandatory document,
  2. Transcript of records: an e-copy or photograph of the Transcript of records of previous studies which includes a GPA in original language or Diploma Supplement in English language – mandatory document,
  3. English language certificate: an e-copy or photograph of the proof of English language skills (B2 or C1 level depending on study programme) – mandatory document,
  4. Second language certificate: an e-copy or photograph of the proof of a second language skills (B1 level) or personal statement of native language proficiency. – mandatory document for applicants enrolling in the Intercultural Business Communications study programme,
  5. Official English translation of Degree certificate and Transcript of records: – mandatory documents if the documents were issued in original language other than Slovenian, Croatian, Italian or English. The candidate must provide official translation into English language in addition to the submitted documents in original language.
  6. A short chronological description of education: a short chronological description of the entire education, obtained by the candidate (written by the candidate) in English, use the form published at EMUNI website – mandatory document if the degree certificate was not issued in Slovenia
  7. A copy of an identification document: a copy of an identification document with photograph which proves citizenship, EU citizens submit copy of ID card, non-EU citizens submit a copy of passport. – mandatory document.
  8. A Curriculum Vitae – only for PhD students
  9. A bibliography and research achievements – only for PhD students
  10. Syllabus for courses of previous study – only for transfer students

The University Admissions Office will review your application and documents. You may be asked to submit additional documents. All incomplete applications will be rejected.

After the closing of applications, they will be carefully appraised and ranked. If you meet the admission requirements and you are admitted, you will receive an invitation to enrol and continue with the enrolment process.

The University Admissions Office will send all official notifications, admissions, rejections, etc. concerning the application and enrolment to the applicant electronically on the eVS portal, occasionally communication per email for additional clarifications could be made.
