Programme overview
The Sport Management programme is addressing the growing professionalisation needs within sport organisations, responding to new governance models, digitalisation, commercialisation, and globalisation trends in the sports industry. The programme prepares student for leadership roles across various sport organizations by focusing on strategic foundations in sport management, marketing and events management, career development and innovation in sports. Students will be equipped with the advanced knowledge and skills needed to excel in the dynamic world of sport business and governance.
Programme learning outcomes
Students will learn how to apply management principles in a sports context, develop marketing and sponsorship strategies, organise and manage sports events, manage financial aspects and budgeting in sports organizations and lead teams with a focus on ethics and corporate responsibility in sport.

Programme specifics
A bootcamp of one week in Piran, Slovenia at the end of the programme bring students together for preparing the capstone project and to have a first-hand experience with local sport organisations and leaders in the field.
Admission requirements
- Basic understanding of sports management, preferable a bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Work experience in the industry is preferred: in sports management, coaching, marketing, event organisation, and governance within the sports sector, aspiring sports executives and administrators.
