EMUNI Network
The Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) Network is a vibrant and diverse academic community that brings together higher education, research and other institutions from across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Its primary aim is to foster intercultural dialogue, promote academic collaboration, and support regional integration through education, research, and innovation. The network serves as a platform for joint activities, mobility, capacity-building, and the development of academic programmes that address shared regional challenges, particularly in the fields of sustainability, intercultural understanding, and socio-economic development.
Full Members: 41 institutions
These institutions pay a fee of 1500€ and have an active and strategic role in the
governance and academic activities of EMUNI
Full members benefit from the following rights and benefits:
· To gain increased international visibility through EMUNI’s website, social
media platforms, and the EMUNI Newsletters.
· To appoint one representative and to participate at the EMUNI General
Assembly on EMUNI costs.
· To vote, to nominate candidates or to be appointed as a member of the
EMUNI bodies (Management Board, the Senate and their commissions).
· To be invited and to have priority at all EMUNI joint research
projects and pedagogical activities in the field of higher education (joint and
double degrees, notification of your degrees at national quality assurance agency,
students and professors exchange, international conferences, summer schools…).
· To enjoy networking opportunities when seeking partners for EU and
other research grants in specific areas of expertise within the network.
· To have priority in using mobilities (for students, academic and administrative
staff), EU funds and EMUNI foundation scholarships.
· To have the priority to publish in our International Journal of Euro-
Mediterranean Studies (indexed in SCOPUS) and can request hard copies for your
library.
Also, as part of the Full Members community, institutions are invited to collaborate
with EMUNI in organizing and hosting key events as the Annual Conference
and General Assembly meetings, providing a platform for strategic discussions.
Associate Members: 55 institutions
These institutions collaborate on specific projects and initiatives
Associate members (please note that this status involves no cost) enjoy the
following rights:
· To participate at General Assembly without voting rights on their own costs;
· To be informed about the opportunities related to EMUNI intended projects
and other joint actions in the field of higher education and research (joint project
application etc.)
· To be informed about the opportunities related to Erasmus exchange and
EMUNI foundation support;
To be invited to become a full member of EMUNI when fulfilling the
conditions.
Other Members: 116 institutions
These institutions support the EMUNI mission and contribute through participation in
network-led opportunities.
Other members (please note that this status involves no cost) enjoy the following
rights:
· To be informed about the activities of EMUNI and EMUNI bodies
· To be informed about initiatives of EMUNI in the field of higher education,
research and innovations
· To propose students/professors exchange and study programs

· To be invited to become associated or full member of EMUNI by signing
Letter of agreement.

the Middle East, and North Africa, committed to building a common Euro-
Mediterranean Higher Education and Research Area.
Cooperate with EMUNI and Strengthen Academic and Research Exchange
across the Euro-Mediterranean Region.
Join EMUNI in increasing the flow of students, professors, and researchers across
the Euro-Mediterranean region by collaborating with us in the following ways:
- Develop Joint Academic Programmes Partner with EMUNI to create new joint or double degree Master's and PhD programmes that address the evolving priorities of the Euro-Mediterranean region.
- Share Your Accredited Programmes Propose your accredited Master's programmes to be delivered in full or in part by EMUNI and offered to a broader pool of students across Europe and the Mediterranean.
- Engage in EU-Funded Research Projects EMUNI is actively seeking partnerships for collaborative participation in European Union-funded research projects, contributing academic expertise and regional insight.
- Promote Mobility and Internships Collaborate with us on academic staff and student exchange initiatives, such as Erasmus+ mobilities, internships, and visiting scholar programmes.
- Co-organise Academic Events and Programmes We welcome proposals for co-organising summer schools, short joint programmes (including microcredentials), conferences, and thematic roundtables.

We are open to your initiatives and will be glad to respond to your ideas for
collaboration.

Benefits of Full Members of EMUNI Network
EMUNI Full Members are EMUNI founders, the cosignatories of the EMUNI Foundation Charter, other higher education, research and other institutions and/or organisations, who have applied for membership and whose membership has been approved by the General Assembly. EMUNI full members exercise the founders’ rights, if they fulfil the obligations from Article 14 of this Statute and pay the membership fee. EMUNI full members have the following rights:
- to appoint one representative and to participate at EMUNI General Assembly, when physically convened, on the costs of EMUNI;
- to vote and to be nominated/appointed as a member of the EMUNI bodies (Management Board, the Senate and their commissions);
- to be invited and to have priority at all EMUNI joint projects and actions in the field of higher education (joint and double degrees, notification their degrees at national quality assurance agency, students and professors exchange, international conferences, summer schools…) and research (joint project application);
- to have priority in using Erasmus (for students, academic and administrative staff), other EU funds and EMUNI foundation scholarships and other related projects;
- to have the opportunity for their faculty to publish in our scientific journal International Journal of Euro-Mediterranean Studies (indexed SCOPUS) and receive hard copies for their libraries upon request;
- to have increased international visibility and exposure through EMUNI website, social media and newsletter;
- to have preferential networking opportunities;
- to have advanced collaboration in educational activities (master programs, summer/winter schools etc.).
