MSc. Polona Oblak is a Lecturer and Head of EMUNI Network Deparment, Euro-Mediterranean University – EMUNI. She completed her undergraduate and Master Studies in FLE at the University Côte d`Azur in Nice and has also a postgraduate degree in Mediterranean Societies from the University of Valencia+. Following a stint as a trainee translator for the European Commission in Luxembourg, she ventured to Morocco. There, she represented and coordinated projects for the Italian NGO Bambini nel deserto ONLUS and taught FLE until 2015. Additionally, she lectured in in Mexico and taught French in French West Indies. Since March 2020, she has served as a Lecturer at the University of Primorska, Slovenia. Joining EMUNI in October 2020, she teaches Italian and French and coordinates the network. Her research spans didactics of FLE, sociolinguistics, Moroccan and Berber intangible heritage, anthropology of memory, minority languages, and francophone cultures and literature. A polyglot, she speaks Slovenian, Italian, French, Spanish, English, and Croatian fluently.
