Dr. Mirazchiyski holds a Master and PhD degree in Social Pedagogy, with a Bachelor degree in Pre-school and Primary Education (Sofia University, Bulgaria). From 2006 to 2008, he has been employed as a psychometrician at the Centre for Control and Evaluation of Quality of Education (Ministry of Education and Science, Bulgaria). Since 2008, Dr. Mirazchiyski has worked at the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement – Data Processing and Research Centre in Hamburg (Germany), where he has been the Deputy Head of the Research and Analysis Unit for the last three years. Since the end of 2016, Dr. Mirazchiyski has been a research fellow at the Educational Research Institute (Slovenia) and is the Statistical Associate Editor of the Human Systems Management Journal. Since December 2019, he has been Assistant Professor at the Euro-Mediterranean University, where he teaches Research Methodology in Social Science to masters students on the Intercultural Business Communication Programme. Dr. Mirazchiyski is also the founder and partly employed at the International Educational Research and Evaluation Institute (INERI). His main research interests are reading literacy, mathematics and science education, civic and citizenship education, ICT in education, methodology of large-scale assessments and psychometrics. His publications are focused on the methodology of large-scale assessments, psychometrics, civic and citizenship education, computer and information literacy, and reading literacy. Dr. Mirazchiyski is still involved in international large-scale student assessments and serves as a project consultant for various organizations, such as the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement.
