This Staff Week offers a space for in-depth discussion on the impact of digitalisation on human rights, with a particular focus on the Euro-Mediterranean region and the role of universities in shaping human-centred digital futures.
Participants will explore how digital transformation is reshaping societies, rights, and institutions, and how higher education can actively contribute to a more just, inclusive, and resilient digital world.
Thematic Focus
Digitalisation as a Human Rights Issue

- the right to privacy, data protection, and digital identity.

Euro-Mediterranean Perspectives
- digitalisation and migration,
- cultural differences in the understanding of human rights,

Looking into the Future – Shaping Human-Centred Digital Futures
- the future of human rights in a digital society,
- universities as guardians of democratic values,
- the intergenerational dimension of digital transformation,
- preparedness for future challenges (pandemics, conflicts, migration, information shocks, and institutional digital resilience).

Application
Who can apply?
Lecturers and administrative staff from European Universities and from Partner Universities outside Europe.Â

The Staff Week will have a participation fee of €80, which includes:
