Word from the President of EMUNI University, Prof. Dr. Abdelhamid El-Zoheiry
In 2019, EMUNI embarked on a new 5-year strategy building on its achievements in the previous period and preparing for a future of education and research in an ever-changing job market. These changes are dictated by the industrial revolution 4.0, the digital transformation and the graduates’ need for acquiring new skills sets.
As we approach 2020, with only 10 years from the target of achieving the SDGs, we cannot but think that the required skills sets should also include those that will enable our graduates to prepare for a sustainable future. For that reason, EMUNI is working on addressing the challenges and opportunities of sustainable development to be reflected in all its activities. We are preparing to launch a new inter-disciplinary Master Programme on Governance and Sustainable Development; we continue to address the opportunities offered by Blue Growth along our summer school and we will organise a conference on sustainable development. These are only few of our planned activities.
Sustainable development is at the heart of EMUNI’s mission.
