EUNICoast Alliance Strengthens Collaboration in In-Person Meetings

EMUNI University actively participated in several key in-person meetings of the EUNICoast Alliance in September–October 2025, reinforcing collaboration, strategic planning, and community engagement across the network.

Steering Committee Meeting – Burgas, Bulgaria (22–23 September 2025)
EMUNI joined partners at Burgas Free University for the EUNICoast Steering Committee meeting. Over two days, discussions focused on shaping the Alliance’s strategic vision, ensuring cross-Work Package coordination, and advancing financial and sustainability planning for Year 2. Beyond formal sessions, the meeting fostered community spirit, including a Plastic Pirates – Go Europe! beach cleanup, highlighting a shared European commitment to sustainability.

WP4 Community Engagement Commission – Sassari, Italy (30 September – 1 October 2025)
The first in-person meeting of the WP4 Community Engagement Commission took place at the University of Sassari. Partners worked on institutional capacity building, community-engaged scholarship, scientific diplomacy, and strategies for student employment. Key initiatives included mapping the Quintuple Helix and Skills/Jobs Observatory, and integrating community engagement into teaching and research. The meeting concluded with the Action Plan for 2029–2033, joint sessions with WP7 on impact-related KPIs, and the official Project Launch Conference at the University’s Aula Magna.

WP6 IT Commission – Burgas, Bulgaria (24–25 September 2025)
The IT Commission convened at Burgas Free University to advance the EUNICoast Digital Campus. Highlights included the opening by Rector Prof. Milen Baltov, PhD, workshops on the European Learning Model, and sessions on ORCID & OpenAIRE to boost research visibility and open science. This meeting marked a significant step in strengthening the Alliance’s digital infrastructure and innovation in European higher education.
