Summer School Application Deadline Extended!

Summer School 2021: Sustainable Blue Economy in the
Euro-Mediterranean Region

The deadline for the BLUES Summer School, co-organised by EMUNI in Slovenia and the National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics (OGS) in Italy, has been extended until 14.00 CET on 13 April.

The month-long course will take place in June 2021 in Trieste (Italy) and Piran (Slovenia) + online.

Postgraduate students of any discipline related to the Blue Economy, especially from the Euro-Mediterranean countries and Black Sea countries, are invited to apply.

Candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
– have completed an undergraduate programme, obtained at least 180 ECTS (or equivalent);
– be eligible to study at postgraduate level or are postgraduate students or researchers;
– have knowledge of English (level B2 or higher);
– have demonstrated an interest in the Euro-Mediterranean region and the theme of the blue economy.

Students from diverse disciplinary backgrounds can be admitted.  In the selection of participants, we seek to ensure their geographic diversity, gender balance and young researchers participation.

Fees and costs:
10 selected participants will be able to attend the Summer School in person free of charge (full waiver of tuition fees), including all field trips. 25 students will be admitted to attend the online part of the hybrid formula (only mornings). In case of face-to-face session, travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the organization.
