The Erasmus + Capacitybuilding Project ´MORoccan Higher Education in Leadership´ (MORHEL) has successfully held its workshop with two parallel sessions on “Train the Trainers” and “Project Management”.
The project, which is led by by Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane and is supported by the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and innovation, saw all twelve Moroccan universities and three EU partner universities attend the workshop in Ifrane, Morocco, on the campus of Al Al Akhawayn University from 8-10 May. Polona Oblak, Strategic Partnerships Coordinator at the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI), which is a partner in the project, attended.
The three-year project, which kicked off in March 2023, seeks to address the need for Leadership development in the Moroccan Highereducation (HE) sector through the creation and implementation of a National Centre for Leadership Development (NLDC) and an associated certificated national leadership development programme (NLDP). To support the delivery of the NLDP, each partner University in Morocco designated two Trainers to develop the modules of the programme, following specific guidelines, and to work collaboratively to ensure a smooth implementation of the training sessions, face-to-face and online. The Train-the-Trainers programme aimed to foster positive synergies among the Trainers, share the programme expectations, and build a common understanding of the design, delivery, and assessment procedures. It also was an opportunity to share best practices to engage HE managers and leaders, thus ensuring their active participation in the training modules.
