Admission for Erasmus+ Students
EMUNI University is open to all students who find their programme compatible with our programmes to spend one or two semesters with us as Erasmus+ exchange students. Priority will be given to students from the universities that we have signed bilateral agreements with; however, new partnerships with new universities are highly encouraged.
How to apply
Please contact your university’s Erasmus coordinator or international office to find out if you are eligible for exchange to EMUNI University. You must apply through your home university, and the procedures and deadlines will vary according to each institution.
If your home institution decides that you are eligible for an Erasmus+ student exchange, then the institution should contact the EMUNI Erasmus Office at erasmus@emuni.si for further communication.
English proficiency requirements
Incoming Erasmus+ students to EMUNI University do not need to document English language proficiency with tests such as IELTS or TOEFL; however, we strongly recommend that students have a good command of English – a minimum of level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), in order to follow courses taught in English. Please note that all of our courses are taught in English.
Deadlines
The application must be sent to EMUNI University before:
1 June for the autumn semester (October – December)
1 November for the spring semester (March – June)
*Please note that EMUNI University works under its blended-learning system where one academic semester per year is conducted online. Above we have provided you with the dates of the semesters that take place face-to-face.
Erasmus+ traineeships
If you wish to conduct an Erasmus+ traineeship at EMUNI University, we advise your home institution international office or Erasmus+ coordinator to contact us well in advance of the planned exchange in order to jointly look for opportunities in the sector of public or/and the international relations department.
Erasmus+ students who wish to follow courses that are not included in the agreement they apply through must ensure their home institution will recognize such courses as part of their degree. The students must also contact the department/faculty they are applying to, to ensure they are permitted to follow courses at other departments/faculties. If permission is granted, that department/faculty will facilitate contact between the student and the home department/faculty.
