EMUNI STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLE OF MOROCCO

A powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Morocco at 11.11pm local time on 8 September. More than 2,000 people have died in the disaster, and over 2,400 have been injured, while countless homes and infrastructure has been destroyed or damaged, mostly in Marrakech and the surrounding areas, close to the epicentre located in the High Atlas mountain range.

The Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) expresses its sincere condolences to all those in Marrakech and nearby communities.

EMUNI stands in solidarity with the people of Morocco, as well as the rescuers who are working tirelessly to find those who still may be alive under the rubble of collapsed buildings.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Moroccan Red Crescent have immediately responded to the disaster and need your help.
