EMUNI Announces the Start of HALS Summer School 2024

The Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI), in partnership with the Science and Research Centre in Koper, Slovenia, and Heliopolis University in Cairo, Egypt, is thrilled to announce the start of the Healthy and Active Lifestyle (HALS) Summer School 2024. This intensive programme, held from 9-13 September 2024, is tailored for undergraduate and postgraduate students with an interest in sports science and healthy lifestyles. Over the course of a week, participants will engage in lectures, workshops, and practical sessions that explore core areas of kinesiology, including physiology, sports performance, rehabilitation, and the science of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The programme offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, with a unique focus on the physiology of an active lifestyle, the impact of physical inactivity in space and on Earth, and interventions designed to counteract these effects. Practical sessions include advanced techniques such as EEG and EMG, allowing participants to gain insights into brain-to-muscle and muscle-to-brain interactions. Students will have the opportunity to work closely with internationally-renowned scholars and receive personal guidance on their academic and research projects.

The HALS Summer School will take place at EMUNI’s campus in Piran, Slovenia, with additional sessions at the Science and Research Centre in Koper. This event promises to be a transformative educational experience, combining academic rigour with practical skills development in the dynamic field of sports science.
