On November 28, 2022, coinciding with the Day of the Mediterranean, Prof. Dr. Abdelhamid El-Zoheiry, the President of the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI), was present in Morocco to participate in the Management Board meeting of the EuroMed University of Fes (UEMF). On this occasion, he discussed with the Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Abderrahman Tenkoul, the prospect of establishing a Masters programme on Mediterranean Studies, to be awarded as a double degree by both EMUNI and UEMF. This exciting initiative would strengthen further the existing collaboration between the two universities and provide potential students with a dynamic opportunity to study on both shores of the Mediterranean.

During the same visit, Prof. El-Zoheiry signed with Prof. Mostapha Bousmina, the President of UEMF, an important partnership agreement to launch an innovation competition in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The competition, the EuroMed Innovation Camp, will be launched soon by EMUNI in partnership with the Jozef Stefan Institute (Slovenia) and the UEMF, with the support of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the Slovenian Ministries of Education, Science and Sports (MIZS), and Foreign Affairs (MZZ).
