On 6 May 2026, EMUNI and ZRS Koper hosted leading international experts in the fields of corporate law, human rights, and sustainability as part of the 4th Scientific Conference dedicated to the implementation of the CSDDD and contemporary challenges of sustainable corporate governance.
The conference was opened and led by the President of EMUNI University, Prof. Dr. Rado Bohinc. International speakers included Dr. Bastian Brunk (Max Planck Institute, Hamburg), Dr. Marco Fasciglione (National Research Council of Italy – CNR), Jan-Christian Niebank (German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs), Dr. Federica Agostini (Utrecht University), Dr. Vito Bevivino (University of Siena), and Prof. Dr. Parameswar Nayak (Dean, Birla Global University, India).
Particular attention was devoted to the afternoon round table on the implementation of the CSDDD into Slovenian law, joined by the Human Rights Ombudsperson Dr. Simona Drenik Bavdek. The conference was also attended by representatives of the Slovenian Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, including Ms. Karla Pinter, Director-General of the Internal Market Directorate, and Martina Gašperlin, Head of the Commercial Law Division.
