Young Designers Turned Creative Ideas into Start-up Concepts at EMUNI

How can a creative idea become a real business opportunity? This question was at the centre of the WP4 mentoring programme within the CreaTech project, which concluded on 29 June 2026 with a final presentation event at EMUNI University, organised in cooperation with the Faculty of Design. Around 25 participants gathered to discover how five multidisciplinary student teams transformed their initial concepts into convincing start-up ideas. Over the past months, students worked closely with mentors to refine their products, test their business models and prepare professional presentations of their projects.

The audience explored five very different concepts, each reflecting its own creative vision. Re presented sustainable fashion created from upcycled textiles and inspired by cultural heritage. Nomade Nero introduced a premium menswear concept for a growing luxury niche, while SCORPI showcased a minimalist streetwear brand built around a strong visual identity. Liminal reimagined tableware through modular 3D-printed clay elements inspired by nature, and Echinodemonstrated how organic design and advanced manufacturing can create sustainable products for contemporary interiors.

The event marked an important milestone of the CreaTech project and once again highlighted the value of collaboration between EMUNI University, the Faculty of Design and young creative talents ready to shape the future of the creative industries.
