The head of academic affairs Dr. Jerneja Penca participated on a mobility at the University of Aveiro that was arranged with the purpose of a study visit at its university in particular its Centre for Environment and Marine Sciences (CESAM) and Department of Environment and Planning. The focus was on exchange of experience and approaches to doing research work, research opportunities, and management practices of the research institutions. and approaches to doing research work, research opportunities, and management practices of the research institutions.
“I visited the University for over 4 days which involved formal and professionally informal meetings with the host researcher, Dr. Cristina Pita, and her colleagues, including the director of CESAM, the Erasmus coordinator of the Department, and heads of research units” stated Dr. Penca. “The mobility also involved a visit to the extensive campus and surroundings (the lagoon and the town), with which UAveiro is very much integrated. Finally, in the framework of the visit, I gave a talk on my recent research that was very well received and also useful in terms of feedback from an engaged and interdisciplinary group” concluded Dr. Penca.
This mobility visit was supported from the Erasmus+ programme training for individuals between Programme Countries (KA103) at Higher Education Institutions projects funded by the European Commission.
