EMUNI University Welcomes Slovenian and Portuguese Presidents for Pivotal Mediterranean Dialogue

On 19 March 2025, EMUNI University had the distinct honour of hosting Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar, President of the Republic of Slovenia, and Mr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic for a pivotal discussion focused on facing global challenges and shaping the future of the Mediterranean.

Moderated by EMUNI alumna Emna Jbara, the event provided an exceptional opportunity for students from 10 different Mediterranean countries to engage directly with both presidents. The session fostered a rich dialogue, allowing students to ask questions and gain valuable insights into the global challenges affecting the region, including climate change, economic development, and geopolitical relations.

The discussion underscored EMUNI University’s commitment to being a platform for intercultural exchange, academic excellence, and meaningful policy dialogue.
