EMUNI Students Explore Slovenia

On Saturday, 11 April 2026, EMUNI University organized a memorable day trip for students, offering them the opportunity to explore some of Slovenia’s most iconic destinations: Ljubljana, Lake Bled, and Lake Bohinj.

The journey began early in the morning, with students gathering at the EMUNI premises in Koper before departing for Ljubljana. Upon arrival in the capital, participants enjoyed a guided walking tour through the city’s historic center. The tour included visits to key landmarks such as Prešeren Square, the Triple Bridge, the Ljubljanica River embankment, Dragon Bridge, the Central Market, Town Hall, and Ljubljana Cathedral. Students also learned about Slovenia’s rich history, the architectural legacy of Jože Plečnik, and the cultural significance of the city.

Following the guided tour, students had some free time to explore Ljubljana at their own pace—grabbing coffee, taking photos, and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

The next stop was the picturesque Lake Bled. There, students enjoyed a scenic walk around the lake, admired views of Bled Island and its church, and stopped at the famous Bled Castle viewpoint. Many also took the opportunity to taste the traditional Bled cream cake (kremšnita), while others opted for a traditional pletna boat ride to the island or a relaxing lakeside picnic.

In the afternoon, the group continued to Lake Bohinj, located in the heart of Triglav National Park. Known for its unspoiled natural beauty, Lake Bohinj offered a शांत and refreshing environment where students could relax, take photos, and appreciate the alpine landscape.

After a full day of exploration and shared experiences, the group returned to Koper in the evening.

This trip provided students not only with a chance to discover Slovenia’s natural and cultural treasures but also to connect with one another outside the classroom. Such initiatives reflect EMUNI University’s commitment to enriching student life through experiential learning and community-building activities.
