EMUNI’s Dr Penca Holds Public Lecture at the Central European University

The visit

EMUNI’s Head of Academic Affairs Dr Jerneja Penca visited the new site of the Central European University in Vienna, Austria. From 23 to 26 March, Dr Penca benefitted from an Erasmus+ teaching mobility opportunity.

Dr Penca held a Public Lecture titled “Enhancing governance for synergies between climate and biodiversity measures: Is the EU’s principle of ‘do no harm’ conducive to sustainability transition?”. She was able to interact with students and professors in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy and had meetings on the possibilities of cooperation between EMUNI and CEU. Both institutions share a mission of educating open, interculturally-minded students, and having them contribute to peace and prosperity in their respective regions.

Moreover, this was an occasion to present our own institution to a new audience of students and stakeholders.

Thanks to Dr Penca’s visit, EMUNI reiterates its commitment to expanding its network of like-minded Universities and promoting academic cooperation.
