The Vice-President of EMUNI University participated in the Second Research Visit and Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project MED.HELA – Mediterranean Higher Education Leadership Academy, continuing the consortium’s joint efforts to strengthen leadership development and governance in higher education across the Mediterranean region.

EMUNI University was represented by Professor Dr. Roberto Biloslavo, Vice-President of EMUNI University, who joined project partners and higher education experts from across Europe, Algeria, and Tunisia to review the progress achieved since the project’s launch and to define the next stages of implementation.

The meeting brought together European experts from the project’s partner institutions, including EMUNI University (Slovenia), the University of Granada (Spain), and the European Leadership Initiative (Ireland), alongside representatives of universities and ministries from Algeria and Tunisia. Through collaborative discussions, participants exchanged expertise and good practices in higher education leadership, governance, institutional development, and capacity building.

Throughout the programme, partners reviewed the progress of the Mediterranean Higher Education Leadership Academy (MHELA) and the Mediterranean Higher Education Leadership Development Programme (MHE-LDP), discussing programme development, quality assurance, future pilot activities, dissemination, and the long-term sustainability of the project. The meeting also provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation among consortium members and align future activities aimed at enhancing leadership competencies within higher education institutions in the Mediterranean region.

Through the MED.HELA project, the University continues to contribute its expertise to the development of modern leadership approaches that respond to the evolving needs of universities across the Euro-Mediterranean area.
