The Board of Rectors of EUNICoast has adopted the Dubrovnik Declaration, a joint statement reaffirming the core values of European higher education: critical inquiry, intellectual independence, human dignity, democracy, truth, academic freedom, and the rule of law.
At a time of growing global uncertainty, EUNICoast partner institutions are speaking with one voice in defence of the freedom of thought that makes knowledge, research, and education possible.
The Dubrovnik Declaration also highlights EUNICoast’s shared commitment to sustainability, cooperation, innovation, and responsible coastal futures. It reinforces the role of European universities in addressing environmental and societal challenges through collaboration, education, research, and knowledge exchange.
Through this declaration, EUNICoast continues to strengthen sustainable coastal futures grounded in academic freedom, shared values, and international cooperation.
