The Rectors’ Conference of the Republic of Slovenia, held on 24 April 2026 and hosted by EMUNI University—given that Prof. Dr. Rado Bohinc currently serves as Vice-President of the Conference—invited representatives of the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (NAKVIS) to present current developments, with a particular focus on upgrades to their operations and the preparation of related records and documentation.
Members of the Rectors’ Conference revisited the Proposal for urgent amendments to the Higher Education Act (ZViS-1), which had been submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation on 19 February 2026. They agreed to additionally prepare a proposal for amendments to ZViS-1 concerning regulated professions.
The Rectors’ Conference was also informed about upcoming projects within the framework of the European Cohesion Policy 2021–2027 in the field of higher education, currently being prepared by the Ministry.
Representatives of the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (ARIS) presented progress in the preparation of procedures for self-evaluation reports and the process of external institutional evaluations.
