Establishment of the Euro-Mediterranean Chamber of Commerce

The Euro-Mediterranean Chamber of Commerce (EMGZ) was officially established on June 6, 2025, in Piran with a clear goal: to strengthen economic cooperation between the European Union and the MENA region, particularly with Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, and Lebanon.

The project focuses on engaging companies operating in the Southern Mediterranean and is strongly supported by Slovenian enterprises such as Riko, Dewesoft, and Geoplin. The Chamber is developing a digital platform to connect businesses, organizing the first EU–MENA business forum, and creating new sustainable partnerships. Special emphasis is placed on involving small and medium-sized enterprises and linking innovation with the economy. President Štefan Pavlinjek invites all companies already active or interested in operating in the MENA region to join the Chamber and become active members.
