Virtual Kick-off Meeting of the Erasmus + KA2 CBHE MED2IaH

EMUNI University hosted its first virtual Kick-off Meeting of the Erasmus + KA2 CBHE MED2IaH project. Coordinated by EMUNI University with a consortium partnership from 9 different countries, the MED2IaH project is focused to tackle a topic which is very relevant at this current situation: Internationalization at Home.

The MEDiterranean countries: Towards Internationalisation at Home (MED2IaH) project is primarily designed to have an impact at system level and trigger reform processes at national level in Mediterranean Partner Countries. Policymakers will receive support for evidence-based policy development and better regulation to move towards the modernisation of the framework conditions for Higher Education in partner countries. HEI managers and other stakeholders in the sector will be able to feed their expertise into the reform process and articulate their needs already at the stage of policy development. By developing policies that adequately address real problems at institution level in each PC, MED2IaH will ultimately benefit the whole HE sectors. The inclusion of all stakeholders (management, academic and administrative staff at universities, students) in the project activities and consortium ensures that the whole HE sector in PCs and will take a step forward to the national reforms, which is a success factor.

During the first virtual kick-off meeting, 42 project participants from 17 institutions attended the meeting. Lead by Prof.Dr. Nada Trunk and Ms. Ana Šajn the meeting aimed to discuss the plans to be followed in order to ensure the flow of the project will not be affected by the COVID-19 situation.
