Our MA Intercultural Business Communication students spent nearly one month at EMUNI University in Piran, Slovenia from March-April.
Professors and staff alike were delighted to host the group, which attended face to face academic activities, covering various topics as part of their programme. A substantial part of the MA is conducted through online learning and teaching.
The students come from a range of geographical locations in the Southern Mediterranean such as Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey.
The IBC is an interdisciplinary study programme offering knowledge and skills to support the communication of market actors. Particular attention is paid to the command of languages, contemporary modes of business administration, including internet marketing and international strategies, and key soft skills of intercultural dialogue and intercultural relations. The objective is to provide robust knowledge of the specificities of conducting business in the Euro-Mediterranean region and beyond, as well as to develop the communication and intra-personal skills of individuals, allowing them to assume managerial responsibilities with confidence.
