On 3 November 2026, EMUNI President Prof. Dr. Rado Bohinc and Vice-President Prof. Dr. Roberto Biloslavo met with representatives of Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. They were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ghada Abdelbary, Secretary-General of the Council for International University Branches, and her colleagues, including Prof. Dr. Sherine Khattab.
The fruitful discussions focused on strengthening academic cooperation between EMUNI and Egyptian universities, particularly Cairo University and Alexandria University. Egyptian scholarships supporting students wishing to study at EMUNI were also discussed.
The meeting further addressed the Ministry’s support for EMUNI’s leading role within the New Pact for the Mediterranean, highlighting the importance of higher education partnerships in strengthening connections across the region.
The visit reaffirmed EMUNI’s commitment to expanding academic partnerships with Egypt and supporting closer Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in higher education.
