Prof. Abdelhamid El-Zoheiry, President of the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) and Prof. Rado Pišot, Director of the Science and Research Centre (SRC) Koper signed today an Agreement that set foundations for the creation of the Euro-Mediterranean Postgraduate School (EMPoS).
The School is expected to offer interdisciplinary and comparative academic study programmes of 2nd and 3rd higher education Bologna levels. Students of the programmes will be able to deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as train in research by developing independent, critical and reflexive thinking. EMPoS programmes are, among other, expected to importantly contribute to employability of students due to their intercultural element, as well as enable them to further pursue research and practical expert careers in the future.
While EMPoS programmes are mainly expected to cover the fields of humanities (history, philosophy, linguistic and cultural studies, diplomatic and political sciences) and social sciences (economics and geography), they will also include natural sciences (life and health studies).
