EMUNI President, Prof. Dr. Bohinc, together with our Head of Network, represented EMUNI at the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) National Focal Points Meeting on Higher Education in Barcelona on April 9th, 2025.
This influential event gathered representatives from over 20 UfM Member States and key higher education stakeholders from across the Euro-Mediterranean region. Prof. Dr. Bohinc took an active role in discussions on strengthening regional collaboration, launching the new UfM Platform for Higher Education, and developing new opportunities for academic mobility and partnerships—including enhanced participation in Erasmus+ and innovative South-South mobility programmes.
The meeting also addressed the importance of increased funding for higher education, improved recognition frameworks, and boosting employability for graduates. Prof. Dr. Bohinc’s presence, alongside our Head of Network, highlights our ongoing commitment to fostering integration, innovation, and excellence in higher education throughout the Mediterranean.
As the UfM marks the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Process, we are honored to contribute to shaping a brighter future for education and cooperation in the region.
