EMUNI IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLE OF TURKEY AND SYRIA

A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake and several aftershocks struck southern Turkey and northern Syria on February 6 killing and injuring more than 5,000 people, and destroying homes and infrastructure in both countries.

The Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) expresses its sincere condolences to all those in Turkey and Syria affected by the devastating earthquake and aftershocks in the Kahramanmaraş province of Turkey and impacting a wide area in south-east Turkey and north-west Syria.

EMUNI stands in solidarity with the people of Turkey and Syria, as well as the rescuers who are relentlessly working in the 72-hour window to find people alive under the rubble of collapsed buildings.
