EMUNI University invites all those interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, cultural and creative industries, digital skills, storytelling, and mentoring activities in the Cultural and Creative Industries to join the CREATECH Interactive Dissemination Activity and Capacity Building Programme in Cultural and Creative Industries.
The event is open to a wider audience and is especially intended for academic and non-academic staff from higher education institutions, students, graduates, researchers, professionals, mentors, cultural and creative practitioners, representatives of cultural and creative organisations, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders interested in the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Cultural and Creative Industries.
The activity is intended for participants from non-STEM fields, including humanities, social sciences, arts, culture, education, management, communication, design, heritage, media, and related areas.
The event will take place on Monday, 29 June 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00 at EMUNI University, Pristaniška ulica 14, Koper, in the meeting room on the 5th floor.
CreaTech is a European project funded under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Higher Education Institutions Initiative — EIT HEI Initiative. The project aims to foster entrepreneurship and innovation in the Cultural and Creative Industries by connecting higher education institutions, students, graduates, researchers, industry professionals, and stakeholders from the cultural and creative sectors.
During the event, participants will be introduced to the CREATECH Capacity Building Programme in Cultural and Creative Industries, with a focus on the topics “Digital Trends, Tools and Storytelling” and “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Cultural and Creative Industries”. The activity will combine project presentation, guided training activities, practical examples, networking, discussion, and mentoring-related support.

10:00–10:15 | Welcome and introduction
Presentation of the purpose of the event, presentation of the project and overview of CREATECH activities, and explanation of the expected outcomes this event.
10:15–11:30 | Capacity Building Program in Cultural and Creative Industries (1st part)
Participants will be guided through topic “Digital Trends, Tools and Storytelling”, which introduces key aspects of digital transformation in the Cultural and Creative Industries, which explores digital leadership, social media strategies, digital identity, content creation, storytelling, and practical digital workflows for creative professionals. Participants will engage with individual study toolkits, video lectures, expert talks, practical lessons, training recordings, and guided exercises. Through the module, participants will learn how to strengthen their online presence, choose suitable digital tools and platforms, create engaging content, and communicate effectively with audiences in ethical and sustainable ways. The module also includes a final assignment and mentoring activities related to business modelling in CCIs.
11:30–12:30 | Networking launch break
Informal break for participants, with time for networking, questions, and individual support where needed.
12:30–13:45 | Capacity Building Program in Cultural and Creative Industries (2nd part)
Participants will be guided through topic “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Cultural and Creative Industries”, which introduces key concepts of cultural and creative industries, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Participants will explore definitions of CCIs, learn how innovation is applied in creative contexts, and develop entrepreneurial skills through video lectures, expert talks, individual study materials, practical labs, and mentoring support. The module also includes activities on service design, case study development, business modelling, and the creation of a simplified Business Model Canvas for a creative idea.
13:45–14:00 | Wrap-up and next steps
Summary of completed activities, explanation of deadlines and follow-up tasks, and final questions from participants.
Venue and entrance
The event will take place at EMUNI University, Pristaniška ulica 14, Koper, in the Intesa Sanpaolo Bank building. Please note that the entrance to EMUNI is from the back side of the building, from Zore Perello-Godina Street.
