On 9 December 2025, the Faculty of Design in Ljubljana hosted two key CreaTech activities dedicated to strengthening innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs). The events gathered students and staff of the Faculty of Design, EMUNI University representatives, CreaTech training participants, partners from the creative sector, and media.
The day began with the WP2 project presentation, introduced by Prof. Dr. Nada Trunk Širca (EMUNI), who outlined project goals, achievements, and the importance of building innovation capacity in CCIs. The WP2 presentation was attended by 21 participants, who learned about staff and student training activities, start-up mentoring, and fashion-focused entrepreneurship support—demonstrating how CreaTech builds practical skills and supports creative business development.
Following WP2, participants were introduced to the Comprehensive Capacity-Building Programme (CBP), including modules on innovation, digital skills, sustainability, and start-up development.
The second part of the programme featured the WP3 training session, which brought together 10 participants for a hands-on Business Model Canvas workshop. Participants developed their own business ideas with continuous expert feedback and mentoring, strengthening their entrepreneurial skills and creativity.
A panel discussion moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jordan Berginc highlighted opportunities for deeper cooperation between higher education and the creative industries and the benefits such partnerships bring to students, institutions, and regional development.
Both events concluded with networking and reflections on next steps, reinforcing the strong partnership between the Faculty of Design and EMUNI University and their shared commitment to empowering creative talent and fostering innovation across the CCI sector.
