At the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, the conference Corporate Accountability and Due Diligence in Slovenia: Current State, Legal Framework, Good Practices and the Supportive Environment took place on 6 February 2026. Organised in cooperation with the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Republic of Slovenia, the environmental organisation Focus, and the Faculty of Law, the conference provided a platform for discussing corporate accountability, due diligence requirements, and the implementation of emerging EU legal standards in Slovenia.
As part of the panel discussion What to Expect from New European Legislation? Trends and the Future, EMUNI assistant Gal Pastirk participated, and interim findings from the CRP research project V5-2514 were presented. The project consortium includes ZRS Koper as coordinator, EMUNI University as partner, and the University of Maribor (Faculty of Economics and Business). The project is co-funded by the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (ARIS) and the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport within the CRP 2025 Programme.
