Dr. Mounir Ghribi, Director of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Blue Economy, shared his insights on the importance of the Mediterranean region during an engaging interview with Radio Capodistria.
In the interview, Dr. Ghribi highlighted EMUNI’s unique role as an international institution, uniting students from all sides of the Mediterranean. He emphasized how this diversity fosters collaboration and cultural exchange, reflecting the rich heritage of the region.

During the interview, they discussed the concert by the Rami Basisah Quartet in Ljubljana, blending traditional Syrian and Mediterranean melodies. The event, organized by the APIS Institute in partnership with EMUNI University, ZRC SAZU, Radio Prvi, and others, also included a roundtable discussion titled “The Power of Journalism and Music as Media for Intercultural Dialogue.” The discussion featured Rami Basisah, whose inspiring journey as a Syrian refugee musician.
