EMUNI Welcomes Former Slovenian Ambassadors

On 13 October 2026, EMUNI University welcomed a delegation of 14 former Slovenian ambassadors, members of the Association of Former Ambassadors of the Republic of Slovenia, led by the Association’s Vice-President, Jadranka Šturm Kocjan.

EMUNI President prof. dr. Rado Bohinc and Vice-President prof. dr. Roberto Biloslavo presented the University’s development over the past two years, highlighting the growth of its international university network and its contribution to Slovenian and European Union initiatives in the Mediterranean region.

The delegation recognised EMUNI’s significant progress and emphasised its strategic importance for Slovenia’s foreign policy. The former ambassadors highlighted the University’s distinctive position as both an international network of universities and a higher education institution offering its own academic programmes, with a growing number of master’s and doctoral students.

Discussions also focused on EMUNI’s role in the evolving Mediterranean higher education landscape. The delegation underlined the importance of the University’s active involvement in the emerging framework being developed by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf (DG MENA) under the Pact for the Mediterranean.
