The 5th Edition of the Mediterranean Youth Academy (MYA) will take place from 16 to 20 October 2026 in Koper, Slovenia, hosted at the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI).
Organised by the Mediterranean Youth Foundation (MYF) and hosted by EMUNI University, the Academy is organised in cooperation with partners including the Anna Lindh Foundation, Interreg NEXT MED, and Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors.
The MYA brings together young people from across the Euro-Mediterranean region and from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. The initiative provides a space for participants to exchange perspectives, develop skills, build cross-Mediterranean connections, and engage with some of the most relevant challenges and opportunities facing young people in the region.
For its 5th edition, the Mediterranean Youth Academy will be structured around three main thematic clusters, reflecting key areas of interest and action for young people across the Euro-Mediterranean region:
- 🌍 Climate Action & Accountability — 41.2%
- 🤖 AI, Skills & the Future of Youth Work — 36.5%
- ⚧ Gender Equity & Agency — 22.3%
These three clusters will provide the thematic framework for the Academy, guiding discussions, activities and exchanges among participants throughout the programme.
The high level of interest in the Academy reflects the willingness of Mediterranean youth to engage, collaborate and contribute to shaping the future of the region.
