Experiences of Erasmus Students at EMUNI

Roaa Yasser Mostafa, Egypt

My Erasmus experience in Slovenia has been truly enriching and memorable. Studying at EMUNI University has given me the opportunity to engage in an international academic environment, meet students from diverse backgrounds, and broaden my perspective both academically and personally. Living in Slovenia has also been a wonderful experience, as I have enjoyed exploring its culture, beautiful landscapes, and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, this mobility has helped me grow in independence, adaptability, and intercultural understanding.

Rodina Nasser, Egypt

My Erasmus experience in Slovenia at EMUNI has been nice and meaningful for me. I met a lot of people from different countries, which helped me learn more about other cultures and see things from different perspectives. The classes were interesting and more interactive than I was used to, which made learning more enjoyable.

Living here also helped me become more independent. I had to manage everything on my own, like my time, studies, and daily life. At first, it was a bit challenging, but over time I got more confident and comfortable handling things by myself. I feel like I’ve grown a lot as a person during this experience.

Overall, I’m grateful for this opportunity and everything I learned here.

Hüsne TOMBUL, Turkey

After graduating from the Public Relations and Advertising Department at Uşak University in Türkiye, I had the opportunity to participate in a three-month Erasmus+ internship at EMUNI University in Slovenia. I am currently working as an intern in the Network Department and am very grateful for the support I received from Daša Zvonar, Erasmus+ Coordinator, throughout the process.

During my internship, I had the chance to observe both Public Relations and Marketing practices. Being part of an international academic environment, communicating with people from different countries, and observing internal and external communication strategies greatly contributed to the development of my professional skills. I particularly enjoyed working with my internship supervisor, Emna Jbara, on social media projects, which allowed me to apply my knowledge in practical and creative ways.

I was also impressed by Slovenia’s beautiful green nature and the refreshing breeze from the Adriatic Sea in Koper. Walking along the streets, I admired the daisies and tulips. On International Women’s Day (March 8), I was delighted to receive a mimosa from a neighbor, which made the morning even more special. The friendly greetings with “čav” and the warm-hearted and helpful people made my experience here even more memorable. I would like to sincerely thank EMUNI University for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I believe this experience will be an important step in my future career.
