Prof. Dr. Rado Bohinc is President of EMUNI University.
He is a Full Professor and senior researcher of Comparative Business Law and European Union (EU) Law. He is a Vice President of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences for Sustainable Development, and Vice President of the Slovenian Rectors’ Conference.
He has been active in higher education and research since the late 1980s. Over nearly four decades, he has lectured and conducted research at numerous universities in Slovenia (University of Ljubljana, University of Maribor, and University of Primorska) and abroad, in United states (among others Fulbright Scholar at UCLA, 1999), as well as at universities in Germany, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic, Norway, Russia, India, Nepal, South Korea, and New Zealand. His academic fields include comparative business law, corporate governance and social responsibility, EU law and institutions, media law, intellectual property law.
Prof. Bohinc has led and participated a number national and international research projects. He is also a researcher at the Law Research Institute at the Scientific Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper). According to SICRIS data, he has published more than 40 scientific monographs, 17 chapters in monographs, and 52 peer-reviewed scientific articles.
In addition to his academic career, he served as Minister of the Interior and Minister of Science and technology of the Republic of Slovenia, Rector of the University of Primorska, and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana, as well as holding other senior governmental and supervisory positions.
