UNIVERSITY OF RABAT AT EMUNI

The Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) had the pleasure of hosting Adil Kamel, Manager of the Education Department of the International University of Rabat (UIR) in Morocco, from 13-17 June, 2022 on an Erasmus+ staff training mobility.

Mr. Kamel took part in a number of pedagogical and cultural activities, and was introduced to EMUNI´s Education Department to gain a better understanding of the University´s programmes. He also had official meetings with certain administrative services at EMUNI, which have the same mission as his own department at his home institution.

Mr. Kamel had the opportunity to be involved in workshops with students and faculty members, including a prestigious cultural show presented by Moroccan students to EMUNI, as well as networking activities hosting a number of participants from other universities. On a personal level, he also enjoyed sightseeing in Piran, the seat of EMUNI University, and points of interest in Slovenia´s capital, Ljubljana.

The UIR representative benefitted from the mobility, because he had the chance to learn new matters related to his work, and to develop a new know-how, which will certainly have a “positive impact on both my personality and work performance,” he said.

On the Erasmus+ mobility, Mr. Kamel continued: “The mobility programme is very important, because it is considered as a means of enhancing the institutional image of the participating institutions. Generally, the staff members selected to take part in this kind of programme become real ambassadors for their home institutions and their countries by default.”

Mr. Kamel went on to reiterate how the mobility programme has a concrete positive impact at local and regional level. The exchange of work experiences and cultural activities between international institutions can be considered the basis of academic, economic and politic partnership agreements to be signed in the future.

This staff training mobility has strengthened ties between EMUNI and UIR through the exchange of good practices in meetings held with staff members and the enhancement of the social, linguistic and cultural competences of Mr. Kamel and the EMUNI team alike.
