JUNE TEACHING MOBILITY IN EGYPT

EMUNI is delighted that its Management Board member, Prof. Dr. Rado Pišot, conducted a teaching mobility from 30 May – 3 June at Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development and Al Nahda University in Egypt, delivering lectures on ‘Kinesiology and Kinesiotherapy: Applications in Physiotherapy’.

Students from related fields of study undertaking Bachelor degree programmes, as well as teachers and deans, were present at the seminars. The main objective was to familiarise those in academia working in this field with approaches and advanced methods in physiotherapy and kinesiology in Europe and beyond, as the Euro-Mediterranean Postgraduate School (EMPoS Unit) of EMUNI is conducting research in areas of global significant importance.

EMUNI is currently in the process of gaining accreditation for the forthcoming implementation of its Masters Study Programme: Kinesiology of Human Performance, which is foreseen to start in the next year. Students during the mobility were therefore, presented with the possibility of undertaking this study programme under development at EMUNI EMPoS. Two graduate students are already meeting the requirements for enrolling in a Programme module – EMUNI looks forward to accepting them next year!

Since March 2013, Prof. Dr. Pišot has held the position of Director of the Science and Research Centre (ZRS Koper) and has been a member of the Scientific Council of ZRS Koper. He was also the Head of the Institute for Kinesiology Research (IKARUS) from the time of its foundation in 2004 to March 2013.
