Italian Professor at the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI), Polona Oblak, participated in a highly productive and fruitful staff teaching mobility with host institution, the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF).
Prof. Oblak was present in Morocco from 26 March – 1 April, 2022, during which she had the opportunity to spend time at the International University of Rabat (UIR) as well as the UEMF. At the UIR, she took part in the open info day and became acquainted with its programmes and departments.
At the UEMF, Prof. Oblak met the Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, as well as other department professors and PhD students. Following her presentation of EMUNI University and its projects, discussions were held on partnering up in new project applications and for joint future Master´s degree programmes in addition to further teaching staff and student mobility exchanges.
This important staff mobility will have an impact, both at the local and regional level. In terms of local impact, EMUNI University has agreed with the UIR and UEMF to cooperate in the organisation of summer schools and roundtables/workshops (online and face-to-face) and collaborate within the framework of EMUNI´s scientific journal, IJEMS. Regionally, EMUNI and the two Moroccan institutions will also try to co-organise a conference and collaborate in projects related to higher education in the Mediterranean area.
