EMUNI IN EGYPT FOR MOBILITY

Polona Oblak, Assistant Lecturer of Italian and French languages, and Strategic Partnerships Coordinator at the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI), completed an Erasmus + teaching mobility in Egypt during March.

Polona was warmly received by the Université Française d’Egypte (the French University of Egypt – UFE) in Cairo from 11-16 March, 2023, which is under dual Egyptian and French control through the respective Ministries of Higher Education.

Polona delivered three lectures in the French language: one with students from the LEA Department and two with students from the Language Centre: ”The teaching mobility represented for me an opportunity to share expertise and experience a new teaching environment. At the same time, this mobility was also of significant importance for the planning of future joint collaborations with the University, as well as the ability to discover a new country and learn more about Egyptian culture, traditions and history.”

During her free time, Polona visited Egypt’s infamous pyramids and met up with a graduate of EMUNI’s Masters in Intercultural Business Communication (IBC).
