Assistant Polona Oblak worked as a trainee translator for the European Commission in Luxembourg from March – July 2010, before going on to be a representative and coordinator for the NGO Bambini nel deserto ONLUS in Morocco from September 2010 until May 2015. Thereafter, from January 2013, Polona spent five months as a teacher of French for the Alliance Française de Durango and Universidad Mundial de La Paz in Mexico.

By March 2020, she had taken up her position as Assistant for the French Language at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Primorska, in her native country of Slovenia.
